Absolutely. Disputing your credit file is your legal right. The Fair Credit Reporting Act clearly states that you have a legal right to challenge any inaccuracies, outdated accounts or false account reporting. We work closely with the Credit Bureaus to make sure items can be removed quickly.

No. Credit repair refers to a regulated, licensed industry and basically all such companies follow a specific protocol of back and forth letter writing with the 3 major Credit Bureaus. HOWEVER, all 3 credit bureaus BASE their reports on your personal data file. We work closely and DIRECTLY with the bureaus to ensure your data file is not only correct, but fully compliant with the rigorous standards of verification set forth both by the FCBA and the bureaus themselves. Obviously any change to your credit data would result in a change to your reports, scores, etc. What separates us from credit repair companies is our approach, our access, and consequently, our speed.

Typically WITHIN Thirty (30) Business days, from the day after we submit our work to the Credit Bureaus. Results may vary depending on the type of credit history, e.g. if it's already been disputed, if it's recent or old, etc. However, one of our representatives will review each item on your Audit, and we will work with you to determine the next steps to take, and you can plan accordingly.

If it was reported incorrectly once, then yes, it could also happen again. Obviously this also depends upon the nature of the credit file, and the party reporting it. So while this can sometimes happen, this is certainly not the norm, particularly in items that are more than 2 years old.

Yes. You will definitely want to avoid the myths and popular beliefs when it comes to managing your credit report. A friend or relative may tell you that it is illegal to get negative information removed from your credit report, but this is actually not true. According to the FCRA, in most cases, accurate, verifiable, negative information absolutely may not remain on your credit report for longer than seven years. But this is just one part of the story.

Please note the terms: "VERIFIABLE" and "NOT LONGER THAN". What most creditors, collection agencies and credit bureaus neglect to mention is that all information on your credit report must be verifiable, and if it is not, it must be removed. Most of the time the reporting parties cannot adequately verify these negative listings. NO LONGER is the term specifically used because, in fact, creditors, collection agencies or credit bureaus may certainly remove ANY negative item they choose, at any time! To be clear: the bureaus may remove a negative item from their database at any time, even well before the seven year maximum is up. So, a negative item does not have to stay on for seven years.

Yes. All types of negative items, including bankruptcy and foreclosure, may be removed from your credit file, and subsequently, credit reports. The adverse effect of a given item on a person's perceived creditworthiness is not a measure of how hard it may be to correct the underlying data item. Often this has more to do with the inner workings of the various reporting entities, but our staff has vast experience in navigating even the toughest of these processes and has achieved numerous successes in cleaning up even the most daunting of files.

We are not challenging your credit report. Rather, we are dealing DIRECTLY with the bureaus to verify the accuracy and compliance of the underlying items that are inaccurate.

According to federal law, the credit bureaus can actually ignore your dispute under a variety of conditions. In our experience, a large number of dispute letters sent directly from consumers are rejected, based on one condition or another.

We work directly with the reporting agencies, so our process is a lot more effective, because we know what to look for in our Auditing process to identify the underlying issues with your credit file.

Unfortunately, we cannot provide guarantees. We do have an excellent track record and have had tremendous success in getting most negative items removed that have not been accurately reported, but we cannot guarantee deletions because that power ultimately lies with the Credit Bureaus themselves. However, because our Audits are performed at the Bureau level, we base our expectations on direct feedback from the experts at Experian, Equifax and TransUnion.
